There has been thousands, if not hundreds, of articles, Pod cast, information commentary, related to how Google has become the giant that it is today. I have read and listened way too many of these. Many of them have been boring, with no real beef, and are repetitious to express the least. But articles I read lately actually hit-the nail on the head, and I wanted to attract a little more attention to the ideas of why Google is Google, and why they'll be around for-a long time.Google itself is definitely an incredible company, that goes without saying, but still some thing I feel can not be said enough. But I am perhaps not referring to their ability to get from 500 million to 10.5 billion in less than 4 years (yes this really is impressive, but it is been hashed over a large number of times ).What I'm referring to, is their constant ability to find new talent and new services to provide. I'd like to include what I feel that is creating an environment, inside the company, and is certainly one of the most critical parts of Google, and outside the company for innovation and advancement in the world. They are to date one of many biggest supporters of open source; on top of that they're the biggest fiscal backers to make information free for the people on the internet. But why are they such large supporters of free and open source advancements? This report that I read really gets into depth about why Google does this, and it is something that I really never considered if not gave much thought to. It is known as 'Complimentary Genius.' Whatever is software, technology, net, etc can be a complement to the core of Google. An excellent example is Hot Dogs and mustard, if Hot Dogs suddenly became freebie products, then the sells of mustard would increase, it is because they are equally free to each other. Google I believe, in some sort or still another, has realized this, and discovered that should they drive and finance a project, that's complimentary to their core business, it'll increase their market-share. Now, if they make said challenge liberated to the masses, well-that brings even more people on to the web, and gives Google another boost.Google's Competition - Why it is hard, if perhaps not impossible for technology based organizations to consider it utterly today to look at Microsoft battle therefore fiercely to become a player with Google, is extremely counter-productive. Microsoft's total organization all together is nothing but a supplement to Google. Why fight against Google, in-the arena that Google created. 'All engineering roads, lead to Google.' What-ever Microsoft does in the world, from making a new os, to delivering a new software update for an older solution, will simply bring more people online, and finally to Google. A long time ago I quit going to the Microsoft's Knowledge-base. I learned that the internet sites internet search engine was extremely ineffective, and typically I never found a repair for whatever I was searching for. Now a days, whenever I've a challenge with a Microsoft product, I go on the web and head to Google, type in the mistake and research the matter and fix it. The majority of time the search leads me to Microsoft Knowledge Base, but Google's search is significantly more relevant then a horrible one used on Microsoft's own website.Google Revenue - Nothing new here - Only a light recap99% of Google's revenue arises from marketing advertising. The theory is dependant on, if not borrowed from, search engine GoTo. The first procedure placed its search ads based on the measurement of-the advertiser's offers. Bing employed this process and added another dimension to-the process, and enhanced the theory. They added the ability to target adverts for specific searches. If someone is looking for shoes they do not want to view ads about vehicles, they want ads about shoes. Fairly easy and sensible idea, nothing to complex about it, and with this the wonderful child named Google, entered in-to the currency markets and buyers have liked it since.Google & Co, Microsoft, and other Companies - ConclusionsIn order for Microsoft to become competing again they need to do some serious re-organization to the company they've already created. This article wasn't designed to get into detail about what I do believe Microsoft would be most useful doing to combat Google. Perhaps I am rooting for Google, but buys up any businesses and innovative programs that come out, and if Google manages to remove your competitors it has, well that in itself can be a large problem.
